We believe that the gifts the arts give -- perspective, depth, and humor -- echo throughout our lives and make our journeys richer.
Krannert Center offers offstage opportunities to connect with the arts through
- pre- and post-performance discussions
- masterclasses and workshops
- artist visits to local schools
- interactive learning sessions with local artists, and
- a variety of other experiences.
We call these explorations "Creative Intersections," and many of them are FREE.
We've tailored our Creative Intersections activities to open doors for everyone, whether you consider yourself a novice or experienced enthusiast. Classical Immersion, Dance Immersion, and Jazz Immersion initiatives designed to help you dig deeper into these art forms, are guided by educators, professional musicians and dancers, and our many guest artists. Also, join us for CultureTalk, lively dialogues between distinguished speakers, moderated by U of I faculty, that focus on issues critical to the future well-being of the arts.
